The Discover Mermaid Experience
Try mermaiding and discover why it’s becoming a popular way to explore any underwater environment in this highly flexible and brief program to see how you like it!
This 1.5 - 2 hour experience has a few prerequisites:
Participants must be a minimum age of 6 years old,
Participants must complete a medical release waiver that confirms they are in good physical health and is signed by a doctor (only when answering "YES" to any of the medical questions), and
Participants must be able to, at minimum, float for 30 seconds and swim a minimum of 25 feet independently.

The Basic Mermaid Course
Learn basic mermaiding principles and focus on practicing skills in a pool or confined water site. The PADI Basic Mermaid™ course combines learning supporting knowledge and principles with a confined water skill development session to introduce the fun of fundamental mermaid diving. The course covers mermaid diving’s background and culture, primary safety considerations, equipment, and basic water skills.

Experience the enchantment of the California PADI Mermaid Course! Immerse yourself in the aquatic world as our professional mermaids guide you through this captivating swimming adventure.

To enroll in the PADI Advanced Mermaid course you must be 12 years old or older.. You need to be able to swim at least 100m/320ft without swim aids, able to float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 mins and in good physical health.
Here is how PADI describes the class:
In the PADI Advanced Mermaid™ course, you'll build on your PADI Mermaid™ certification and apply it to the open water environment. You'll learn the basics of how the open water environment differs from a pool or confined water (larger, deeper, more variable conditions) and be introduced to open water mermaiding techniques. You'll also learn about aquatic life – what to expect, how it can affect you, and how you avoid harm.

Join our PADI Mermaid Instructor Course for an unforgettable 3-day experience. Dive into the enchanting world of mermaids, learning from professional instructors. Become a Mermaid instructor and live your dreams as a mermaid dive business! Mermaid Instructor is eligible to conduct the Discover Mermaid Experience, Basic Mermaid, Mermaid, and Advanced Mermaid courses. There is an PADI application process (fees not included) to receive your PADI instructor rating, please view it here to see all that is required of you. EFR certification is required for this course and can be added on with us or taken before attending. Available for ages 18 and over. Must complete Mermaid and Advanced Mermaid first. Does not include PADI application fees.
