Celebrate the official public launch of FinVenturez with a day of impact, ocean magic, and community connection. This is our โcoming outโ event, you're invited to dive into the dream with us and help kick off a new wave of underwater education and adventure.

Arrive early to help us set the scene (optional)
๐งผ 7:00 AM โ 9:00 AM: Beach Clean-Up
Weโre starting the day with purpose, help us give back to the ocean we love.
๐ FinVenturez Will Provide:
Disposable gloves
Trash bags
Trash pickers (limited availability)
Buckets (limited availability)
Tarp (for central trash collection)
First aid kit
Water jugs for bottle refills
๐งโโ๏ธ Please Bring:
Gardening gloves (if you have them)
Trash grabber or tongs (if you have them)
Bucket or reusable bag (mesh, canvas tote, etc.)
Reef-safe sunscreen
Reusable water bottle
Beach gear for the day (snacks, towel, sunhat, etc.)
๐ Location Tips: Access via Malaga Cove Canyon, Malaga Cove Trail, or walk left from Torrance Beach toward the cliffside.
๐งโโ๏ธ 9:30 AM โ 1:00 PM: Mermaid Beach Day
Tails up and spirits high! We'll dive into the ocean for some summer fun. Whether you're a seasoned merfolk or just curious, this part of the day is all about joy, connection, and saltwater fun.
๐คฟ Location Highlight: Malaga Cove Kelp Forest
Malaga Cove offers an incredible nearshore dive site perfect for beginner to intermediate divers.
Marine Life:
Garibaldi, Senoritas, Blacksmith, Kelp Bass, Sheephead, Blue Banded Goby, Horn Sharks, Bat Rays, Octopus, Barracuda & more (some species seasonal)
Site Notes:
Visibility: 10โ25 ft
Depth: 10โ30 ft (stay with in your buddies and your own personal limits)
Entry: Easy via sandy beach; rocky entry only for experienced divers
Safety Reminder: Float/flag required, return hike to parking lot is steepโgo slow and bring water.
