I’m excited to share that I’ll be participating in the Avalon Harbor Underwater Cleanup this winter! This annual event is a unique and meaningful way for divers and ocean lovers to give back to the underwater world we love.
Event Details
📅 Date: Saturday, February 21, 2026
📍 Location: Avalon Harbor, Catalina Island (Green Pier, Step Beach, Casino Point)
Hosted by: Catalina Divers Supply & Avalon Rotary Club Foundation Avalon Cleanup
This one-of-a-kind cleanup is the only time scuba diving is allowed in Avalon Harbor each year — giving volunteers a rare chance to dive inside the harbor while removing debris and marine litter that accumulate over time. CatalinaDiversSupply
🌍 Why This Matters
• More than 600 volunteer divers come together to collect trash, help protect marine life, and improve the health of our coastal waters. Avalon Cleanup
• Proceeds benefit local ocean conservation efforts, including the USC Hyperbaric Chamber, the Avalon Rotary Club Foundation, and improvements at Casino Dive Park — one of Catalina’s iconic dive spots. Avalon Cleanup
• After the dive, there’s an awards ceremony on Wrigley Stage with prizes and giveaways for participants. Avalon Cleanup
